Karnataka PGCET MBA Counselling 2022 - Dates, Fee Payment, Result

Karnataka PGCET MBA Counselling 2022 – Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has revised the PGCET 2022 post allotment schedule. According to the new schedule, the last date to download admission order and college reporting has been extended till February 3. Candidates can download the admission order till 2 pm and report to allotted college till 5 pm. PGCET 2022 round 1 choice exercising by seat allotted candidates closed on January 31. The deadline for the payment of fee by choice 1 and choice 2 candidates was January 31.

Seat allotted candidates can download their admission order at the official website, of KEA, kear.kar.nic.in, using their PGCET number. Earlier the released the PGCET round 1 result and cutoff rank for MBA. Candidates can download it in the form of PDF.

KEA will conduct the second round of seat allotment for Karnataka PGCET MBA if seats are left vacant after the first round allotment.

Karnataka PGCET MBA Counselling 2022

The counselling for Karnataka PGCET MBA 2022 will be conducted in the following stages:

  1. Result declaration and cutoff
  2. Document verification
  3. Display of seat matrix
  4. Invitation to counselling
  5. Counselling day

Result Declaration and cutoff: The authorities have released the Karnataka PGCET MBA result of candidates who appeared in Karnataka PGCET MBA 2022 exam. The result has been released in the form of merit list. Candidates who got a rank in the merit list need to attend document verification on or before the last date. Only those who attend the document verification will be called for counselling.

Document Verification: Candidates who have qualified in the Karnataka PGCET and got a rank need to visit the any of Karnataka helpline centre to get their documents verified as per their rank.

Display of Seat Matrix: authorities has released the list of participating institutes and seats offered by them for MBA and other programmes.

Invitation to Counselling: Candidates who will qualify for the Karnataka PGCET MBA cutoff criteria will be called for the Karnataka PGCET MBA 2022 counselling. Candidates who will be invited for the Karnataka PGCET MBA counselling 2022 will have to register for the counselling process.

Counselling Day: Candidates must reach the particular counselling centre allotted to them. Aspirants must bring all the necessary documents required for counselling for Karnataka PGCET MBA 2022. A list of all the necessary documents is listed in the further sections of this article.

The procedure of Karnataka PGCET MBA 2022 Counselling:

Karnataka PGCET MBA counselling 2022 will be conducted through the following steps:

  • Display of seat matrix and fee structure

  • Choice filling by eligible candidates

  • Display of mock allotment results

  • Seat allotment results

  • Choice exercising

  • Fee payment

Document Verification- Qualified candidates will be assigned different ranks. Candidates who will register for the counselling for Karnataka PGCET MBA 2022 will be required to report at the allotted counselling centre as per the schedule. Candidates must carry the documents at getting them verified at the helpline centre to proceed for the next step of the option entry process. Aspirants must confirm the schedule before coming to the helpline centres. Once the documents are verified, candidates will get the original documents, and acknowledge card and slip will be issued. Students must carry the following documents:

  • Academic Record: Class 10th and 12th Marksheets

  • Qualifying Examination Marksheet

  • Income certificate of the candidates family

  • Category certificate of the candidate (if any)

  • Karnataka PGCET Admit Card

  • PGCET MBA 2020 Scorecard

  • Any other relevant documents

After the verification of the documents, candidates will be assigned the secret key. The secret key has to enter at the online entry option portal.

Registration- To appear for the Karnataka PGCET MBA counselling 2022 candidates must register for the counselling process on the official website soon after the declaration of the result. Candidates will be required to report to the counselling centre to report/ register their counselling number.

Option entry- After entering PGCET number on the online portal, candidates will have to choose the college/course as per their preference from the seats available. Candidates will have the option to choose according to college, course, seat, and discipline wise. There is no limit to enter the options. Candidates must set their options in order of their preference in which they desire to take admission. Candidates are advised to choose a maximum number of options available.

Seat allotment- As per the choices filled by the candidates, colleges will be allotted to the candidates. As per the rank of the candidates and the choices entered the seats be offered. The candidate’s allotment process will not proceed until the candidates have completely searched for the availability of the seats. Candidates will have an option to change their choices until the last date of the option entry.

Once the last day of option entry ends, the choices entered by the candidates will be frozen.

Important Instructions for the candidates participating in Karnataka PGCET MBA counselling 2022:

  • Candidates must carry the required documents to the helpline centre for successful verification. Candidates must take at least one set of xerox copies of all the documents which will get submitted to the conducting KEA.

  • Candidates after getting the documents verified must check the complete list of participating institutes.

  • Candidates must know the complete details about the institute they want to apply for.

  • The secret key which the candidates get after getting their documents verified should not be shared with anyone.

  • Candidates can choose any number of colleges during the option entry process.

  • Candidates can change the choice of colleges as many times before the last date of the option entry.

Necessary information required after the verification process:

1. Verification Slip: Students must carry the verification slip to the help centre and check for the details mentioned on the slip. In case of any error, it should be brought to the notice of the Chief Nodal Officer of the respective helpline centre.

2. Unique Keyword: It is the eight alphanumeric characters printed on the verification slip which is used to access the option entry on the official website. This code must be kept confidential.

How to fill option entry

Candidates who will get their documents verified at the helpline centre will be able to proceed with the option entry process. Check the steps below to know how to access the option entry in Karnataka PGCET MBA 2022 counselling:

Steps to choose opinion entry

Step 1- Visit the official website- kea.kar.nic.in

Step 2- enter the login credentials:

Click on the tab submit

Step 3- Enter the following details prescribed for option entry:

  • Application number mentioned on the Karnataka PGCET MBA application form

  • Secret unique keyword

  • New password

  • Confirm new password

  • Email ID

  • Select secret hint question

  • Type hint answer

Click on tab ‘login’ and login credentials will be created

Step 4- Verify the details entered

Step 5- Click on the tab ‘Option worksheet’

Download and take the print of the option worksheet to know the colleges and number of seats offered. The option worksheet will mention the following details:

  • Group

  • Type

  • College

  • Option number

  • Course description

  • College description

Step 6- Practice option entry

Candidates must now enter the option as per the priority. The priority number starts from 1 to 999. Giver the ranking of 1,2,3,4. As per the preference.

How to get the college and course wise list?

  • Go to the home page and click on the tab ‘candidate’s option entry’
  • Enter the details
  • The screen will display the course and college lists.
  • Click on the tab and the screen will display the complete list.

Step 7- Give option number in sequence as per priority

How to Modify the order of options?

In case a candidate wishes to modify his/her order of entry option it can be done by following the steps mentioned below:

  • Step 1– Click on the tab ‘modify selected option’
  • Step 2– Change the preference by typing the new number in the options tab. (don’t mention the same number for two options)
  • Step 3– Click on the tab ‘update’
  • Step 4– Students can view the modified option entry by clicking on the ‘selected view option’ tab.

How to Delete the Options?

  • Step 1– Go to the ‘modify selected option’ window
  • Step 2– Enter the numeric ‘o’ in the option field. Students can delete more than one option at a time.
  • Step 3– Click on tab ‘update’

Process of seat allotment and admission

The allotment of seats will be conducted in the following rounds:

First-round

When the option entry process will end the computer begins the allotment of seats in the following manner:

Allotment with the physically disabled person/ex-defense as per their ranks and options.

General merit category students will be considered under the general merit quota.

All reserved category students will be considered first for allotment and then the remaining seats are allotted to other students as per their rank and options.

Second round

Many iterations may take place in the 2nd Phase.

The computer will stop the allotment only if the last seat is allotted or when it reaches the last rank in each discipline.

The order of allotment, as shown above, will get repeated

Third round

The remaining seats that are unfilled under various reserved categories will be converted into general merit categories and will be offered to GM students.

The computer will stop the allotment only if the last seat is allotted or when it reaches the last rank in each discipline. That means the candidate will always be moving upwards both in options and roster. The order of allotment, as shown above, will get repeated in the 3rd Phase until there is no change in the allotment of any candidate.

  • Step 1- Download the challan from the official website
  • Step 2- Candidates must check for the following details mentioned on the challan
    • Name
    • PGCET number
    • College/course allotted details
    • The fee to be paid
    • Bank account number
  • Step 3- Pay the prescribed fee
  • Step 4- Take the receipt of the payment.
